Ariana Grande’s Disney Family Singalong Manicure Was a Tribute to Megara — Pictures

About April 16, Ariana Grande combined forces along with other celebs to get a virtual Disney Family Singalong, together with her amazing vocal ability to pay “I Will Not Say I’m In Love” in the 1997 revived classic Hercules. As anticipated, Grande did more than justice to the tune with her rendition — but she completely pinpointed Meg’s glam.

Beyond her stunning vocals, it had been Grande’s shimmery, pale lilac, square-shaped claws which destroys the show, beauty-wise. The celebrity gave us a glance in her mani on her Instagram Stories also it featured what seem like cut-out hearts on the hints.

Upon closer review, the hearts may be glam rhinestones to match the ones employed beneath her eyes — we won’t have the ability to tell unless Grande shares a closer look, but the two choices are both iconic. What she did talk about, however, is that the claws have been a direct homage to Megara, who filmed the tune in Hercules.

Grande’s manicure is killer, but it wasn’t done by a pro a salon. She is currently practicing social distancing and she’s been relying on fabulous press-on nails from nail artist @bettyinacherry. The artist, who is also behind her Megara mani, sent her a plethora of press-on options to keep her nails looking good while at home, and if this one is any indication, Grande’s at-home manis are going to be beyond glam at the future.

Grande’s Meg tribute did not end there, though. She referenced the character by wearing her signature color: purple. She wore a pastel lavender, feather-trimmed tie cardigan over a cream tank and tied her hair up in her trademark high ponytail, which is also a favorite look of the animated Megara.

The two look so similar, they’re practically doppelgängers, which leads us to wonder: Was it Megara who inspired Grande’s whole look in the first place? Grande also took the roles of the five singing Muses in her video, switching Megara’s purple outfit for a strapless pewter top instead.

Grande’s recreation of Megara and the Muses is so instantly iconic that we can only say: Disney, when you are reading this, cast her in the live-action remake!
