Dashing Diva Gloss Gel Strips Are Really Simple to Apply — Editor Review

Back when I was a spritely young beauty intern earning zero dollars per hourI would give myself an at-home manicure at least one time every week. Back then my DIY manicures were motivated by abstract artwork, comic books, John Green books, the galaxy, neon leopards, and much more. Obviously, I got very good at implementing nail decals , also Dashing Diva is one of the earliest brands I tried.

While my at-home efforts have been mainly replaced by visits to the nail salon, my love for simple nail art has not faded — I was eager to get back my hands on some Dashing Diva nail wraps. The Gloss Gel Strips are assumed to have an identical impact to some gel manicure: specifically, a great deal of glow and durable layouts. The collection I attempted , Out of Line, is composed mainly of strong grey decals, with a few gold and silver accents blended in.

The strips were equally as simple to use as I recalled: you only have to clean your nails with alcohol directly ahead to make them stick. Then, fit a strip to each nail, stick it onto cuticle side , smooth out the bubbles with your palms, and then file off the surplus in the finish. You do not even require a base or top coat to finish the look off. As you can see in the photograph above, I might still use a small clinic in applying so that they lined up together with my cuticle (instead of spilling over on my fingers), but I am always pleased with a manicure which does not need any drying period.

Beginning the morning after, the nail wraps really looked greater daily that I wore them. On the next day, the bubbles I generated while implementing them were nearly entirely gone. In a fast glance, a coworker even presumed I had gotten them done in a stylish NYC salon famous for its own nail art.

My manicure actually came into its own after we had spent a week together. My claws had grown only enough so the base lay flush with my cuticles, however, the hints had not begun to chip nonetheless. The wraps eventually begun to wear down in the day mark, but just on the nails that had been ruined and hammering before I implemented.

A last bonus: All these items are far easier to eliminate than the usual gel manicure. You simply use a fall of polish remover or acrylic in your cuticle, then gently lift away the strip starting in the bottom.
