Gold House’s 2023 A100 List Honors Patrick Ta, Saweetie, Michelle Yeoh, and More
May marks Asian Pacific American Heritage Month and with it comes one of the most star-studded reminders of the community’s incredible accomplishments: the annual A100. Assembled by Gold House — an organization dedicated to promoting equity and authentic representation of Asians and Pacific Islanders — this list honors 100 people that reflect the outstanding achievements of the Asian Pacific cultural ecosystem.
Culminating in the Gold Gala on May 6, the A100 includes some very familiar names and faces — luminaries who stand out in their industries and make an impact felt in the community and beyond. Among those being honored in beauty, fashion, and lifestyle are makeup artist and beauty-brand founder Patrick Ta, legendary fashion designer Anna Sui, interior designer and TV host Joanna Gaines, Vogue China editor in chief Margaret Zhang, and — receiving top honors — Vanity Fair editor in chief Radhika Jones.
This year in entertainment, Saweetie, Stephanie Hsu, Ke Huy Quan, and the lead casts of Turning Red and Joy Ride have made the list. Actor Shay Mitchell is being honored for her entrepreneurship as cofounder of Beis, and Padma Lakshmi and Michelle Yeoh are being given Hall of Fame status.
“Gold House’s A100 List is a vital representation of the diverse opportunities and achievements of and for Asian Pacific leaders,” Yeoh, who recently won an Academy Award for her performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once, said in a statement. “Becoming begins with seeing — and it shows how we’re just getting started. I’m so proud to be part of past classes and applaud this year’s class.”
