Aveda Botanical Repair™ Strengthening Overnight Serum – Review

Without leave-in serums and conditioners, my hair feels a bit like a lost cause. No matter what deep-conditioning masks I slather on in-shower, my hair is simply thirsty for more. To keep my frizzy flyaways and split ends at bay, I reach for Aveda’s Botanical Repair Strengthening Overnight Serum to replenish my hair while I snooze. (That last part is crucial  — I love that I don’t need to rinse this treatment out.)

After my hair has mostly dried, I’ll dispense two pumps of product into my hands and comb it through the entirety of my hair before calling it a night — and I wake up with smoother hair and fewer split ends, a.k.a. the dream. This is largely thanks to a few key ingredients, including a blend of avocado, green tea, nangai, and sacha inchi oils that work overtime to prevent breakage and split ends. Despite the bountiful oils, my hair also doesn’t feel weighed down in the slightest; in fact, it feels just as bouncy as it would post-blowout. Most days I simply run my brush through and I’m set for the day with a sleek, smooth style — but if I’m feeling fancy, I might go in with my Dyson Airwrap and add some loose waves to the mix. Either way, my hair feels and looks considerably healthier, which is always my ultimate goal.
